Heartburn Prevention
 
ZINOCLAV is a histamine-2 (H2) blocker for reducing acid production in the gastrointestinal tract to prevent and treat stomach or intestinal ulcers, inflammation and erosion of the stomach caused by kidney disease, stress or drug reactions, acid reflux and esophagitis.
 
Indication:
Relieves vomiting caused by chronic gastritis. For treatment of gastrointestinal ulcers and acid reflux in dogs and act as antacid for cats.
 
Recommended Dosage and Administration:
For dogs and cats: Give 5mg-10mg/kg body weight, 3 times a day for 28 consecutive days or as prescribed by the Veterinarian. Please refer to the table below for proper dosing per body weight.
 
Precaution:
Avoid giving to animals that are known sensitive to Cimetidine.
Caution should be taken in geriatric animals or those with blood disorders, severe liver and kidney impairment.
Use cautiously in pregnant or lactating pets.
 
Side Effects:
May cause temporarily mild swelling of the breast in female dogs or breast development in male dogs, vomiting, diarrhea and irritation in overdosing.
 
Drug Interaction:
May interact with other antacids, benzodiazepines, beta-blockers lidocaine, loratadine, cyclosporine, warfarin, clopidogrel, mirtazapine, praziquantel, theophylline, glipizide, glyburide, tamsulosin, triamterene, domperidone, cisapride, metronidazole, chloramphenicol, cefpodoxime, ketoconazole.
 
Storage;
Store in cool, dry place. Keep out of direct sunlight.
Keep away from children.
