Anti-Inflammatory
 
Indication:
Dexamethasone is a long-acting and a powerful synthetic corticosteroid which has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It is used in the treatment of inflammatory or allergic conditions in dogs, cats, swine, cattle, and horses. It is beneficial in the induction of parturition and treatment of primary ketosis (acetonemia) in cattle. It is also used as supportive therapy in mastitis, metritis, traumatic gastritis, and pyelonephritis.
 
Dosage and administration:
For Intravenous or Intramuscular injection
Dogs and Cats:
0.1 mg/kg BW equivalent to 
0.5 mL/10 kg BW twice daily
Horses, Cattle and Swine:
0.06 mg/kg BW equivalent to 
1.5 mL/50 kg BW twice daily.
The dose may be administered for three to five days or until response is noted.
Or as prescribed by a duly licensed veterinarian.
 
Withdrawal Period:
Swine, Cattle and Horses:
Meat: 8 days
Milk: 3 days
 
Cautions:
Foods, Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics Act prohibits dispensing without prescription of a duly licensed veterinarian.
